Township Building Main Entrance Closure and Reception Area Temporary Relocation.
Beginning Monday, October 5, the Main Entrance to the Township Building will be closed due to sidewalk replacement. The main reception area will be temporarily relocated to the Public Meeting Room entrance.The Water/Sewer Payment Drop Box will also be temporarily relocated to this entrance. Signs will be posted directing visitors to this entrance. The project is anticipated to last about two weeks.

Upper Saucon Township has employed the use of an emergency notification system to keep residents informed of emergency situations that may arise within the Township. Notification scenarios include water, sewer, weather, and other public safety emergencies.
You do not need to be an Upper Saucon Township Water or Sewer customer to enroll - in fact, we encourage all residents to enroll. Create or update your profile here.

We have received some questions regarding a possible electronics recycling event this Fall. Unfortunately, we will NOT be having any more recycling events this year. For 2016, we are working to resume our normal schedule of an event in Spring and Fall.

Fire Department Open House
Come see the fire trucks, meet your local volunteer fire fighters and learn how to keep your family safe! The open house will be on Saturday, October 3 from 12:00 - 3:00 PM at the Upper Saucon Volunteer Fire Department, 4445 West Hopewell Road, Center Valley. PUBLIC NOTICE: Zoning Hearing Board Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the regular public meeting of the Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) of Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, is scheduled at the Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 7:00 PM for the purpose of hearing the following appeals:

APPEAL NO. 2015-14 - Glen & Karen Hill (Owners/Applicants), 4610 Pleasant View Drive, Coopersburg, PA 18036. The property identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 640583147661 1 and 4610 Pleasant View Drive, Coopersburg, PA 18036, is 5.67 acres in size and is located in the South Mountain Conservation (SMC) Zone. The applicant requests a variance from Section 450.B to permit a Home Occupation with three (3) non-resident employees where a maximum of two (2) non-resident employees are permitted.

APPEAL NO. 2015-15 - Lewis R. Shupe IV (Applicant/Owner), 6092 Robin Lane, Coopersburg, PA 18036. The property identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 641490684376 1 and 6092 Robin Lane, Coopersburg, PA 18036, is 16.73 acres in size and is located in the Suburban Residential (R-2) Zone. The applicant is appealing the July 3, 2015 Zoning Officer denial of a Zoning Permit by requesting an interpretation of Section 450, that the property owner is operating a Home Occupation permitted by right.

APPEAL NO. 2015-16 - Posh Properties (Applicant/Owner), 2216 Willow Park Road, Bethlehem, PA 18020. The property identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 642515500995 1 and 4647 Saucon Creek Road, Center Valley, PA 18034, is 3.81 acres in size and is located in the Enterprise (E) Zone. The applicant seeks a variance from Section 423.B to permit a 5,750 sq. ft. outdoor play area for a daycare where 9,425 sq. ft. is required based on enrollment.

APPEAL NO. 2015-17 - Thomas P. Williams (Applicant/Owner), 822 W. Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18101. The property identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 641481699060 1 and 4730 Blue Church Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036, is 2.31 acres in size and is located in the Suburban Residential (R-2) Zone. The applicant is appealing a Zoning Enforcement Notice issued on August 5, 2015 alleging that the owner has established a principal landscaping/equipment storage use on the lot, a use not permitted in the R-2 Zone.

The complete Zoning Appeal files may be examined at the Upper Saucon Township Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, Pennsylvania, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Public Notice: Admin & Finance Committee Meeting
The Administration & Finance Committee of the Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors will meet at 4:00 PM on the following dates: Friday, October 2, 2015, Monday, October 12, 2015, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 Monday, October 19, 2015, Wednesday, October 21, 2015 and Friday, October 23, 2015 in the Township Municipal Building, 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA. The purpose of these meetings is to discuss various matters related to the 2016 Township budget.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Trick or Treat 2011Trick or Treat
The Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors have set the date for the 2015 Halloween Trick or Treat activities. This year's date will be on Friday, October 30, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The rain date will be the following night, October 31.

The 2015 General Election is Tuesday, November 3. Polls in Lehigh County will be open from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

Upper Saucon Township has 2 NEW voting districts. For more information on these districts, please see this map.

Your voting district can be found on the front of your voter registration card. Voter Registration forms and absentee balloting forms are available at the Township Building and the Lehigh County Voter Registration Office, 455 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA. For more information call 610-782-3194.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has a program to ensure that the rights of victims are carefully observed. The Victim Notification Program allows eligible victims and witnesses to obtain reliable and timely information regarding a criminal alien's release from custody. Upper Saucon Township has been working with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to notify residents about the possibility of radon in area homes. The DEP has a number of publications for residents to refer to regarding this matter. They are available on the DEP's website, as well as in our front lobby. Additionally, more information can be obtained by calling 1-800-23-RADON.

Prescription BottlePrescription Drug Drop-Off Box
The Upper Saucon Township Police Department is proud to announce the installation of a permanent drop-off box for unused medications. The box is located in the lobby of the Police Dept., and is available for free, anonymous drop-offs Monday - Friday, from 8AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM.

Township residents can dispose of leaves and other yard waste at the Liberty Road Drop-off Center.  Click here to see when the Drop-off Center is open.
