PUBLIC NOTICE: Zoning Hearing Board Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the regular public meeting of the Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) of Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, is scheduled at the Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 7:00 PM for the purpose of hearing the following appeals:

APPEAL NO. 2015-02 - Glayton & Mariana Reis (Applicants/Owners), 2651 Sean Drive, Whitehall, PA 18052. The property is identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 641441490675 1 and 5270 Sky View Drive, Center Valley, PA 18034. The applicants are requesting a variance from Section 513.G.1-2 to permit disturbance of 57% of the 15-25 % slopes on the lot (maximum of 30% permitted) and to disturb 54% of the 25% and over slopes on the lot (maximum of 15% permitted) for the construction of a new single family dwelling.

APPEAL NO. 2015-03 - Posh Properties (Applicant), 2216 Willow Park Road, Bethlehem, PA 18020 and Saucon Creek Partners LP (Owner), 4647 Saucon Creek Road #200, Center Valley, PA 18034. The property is identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 642515500995 1 and 2615 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley, PA 18034. The applicants are requesting variances from Section 305 to permit two (2) principal uses (offices and day care) on one (1) lot and Section 423.B to permit an outdoor play area with 5,500 square feet, where 7,150 square feet is required.

APPEAL NO. 2015-04 - Arthur Flexer Illick (Applicant/Owner), 20 Wall Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. The property is identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 642401752954 1 and 4390 Liberty Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036. The applicant is requesting a variance from Section 212.H to permit the width of an existing 16' wide agricultural building to be extended an additional 20' within the required front yard setback (35' provided and 50' required). Section 703.C only permits the width of the non-conforming structure to be increased a maximum of 8'.

Notice is hereby given that a special public meeting of the Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) of Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, is scheduled at the Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 7:00 PM for the purpose of hearing the following appeal:

APPEAL NO. 2015-01 - William Samph (Applicant)/William & Christie Samph (Property Owners), 4750 Blue Church Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036. The property is identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 641481678556 1 and 4750 Blue Church Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036. The Applicant is appealing the validity of Section 212.H of the Upper Saucon Township Zoning Ordinance (as amended by Ordinance 141-A) and the Township Zoning Officer determination to deny the applicant's vested rights claim. In the alternative, the Applicant requests a dimensional variance to provide a side yard setback of 15'-22' where 25' is required and a maximum impervious coverage of 20.7% where 15% is required to permit construction of an addition.

RADON INFORMATION
Upper Saucon Township has been working with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to notify residents about the possibility of radon in area homes. The DEP has a number of publications for residents to refer to regarding this matter. They are available on the DEP's website, as well as in our front lobby. Additionally, more information can be obtained by calling 1-800-23-RADON.

The Upper Saucon Township Police Department is proud to announce the installation of a permanent drop-off box for unused medications. The box is located in the lobby of the Police Dept., and is available for free, anonymous drop-offs Monday - Friday, from 8AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM.
