Upper Saucon Township has employed the use of an emergency notification system to keep residents informed of emergency situations that may arise within the Township. Notification scenarios include water, sewer, weather, and other public safety emergencies.
You do not need to be an Upper Saucon Township Water or Sewer customer to enroll - in fact, we encourage all residents to enroll. Create or update your profile here.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Zoning Hearing Board Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the regular public meeting of the Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) of Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, is scheduled at the Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA on Monday, February 1, 2016, 2015 at 7:00 PM for the purpose of hearing the following appeals:

APPEAL NO. 2015-21 (Continued from January 6, 2016) - High Hotels LTD, (Applicant), 1852 Wm. Penn Hwy., Lancaster, PA 17601 and Lehigh University (Owner), 27 Memorial Dr. W., Bethlehem, PA 18015.

APPEAL NO. 2015-20 - Lorri A. Tomko (Owner/Applicant), 4136 Yorktown Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036. The properties identified as Tax Map Parcel Nos. 641478253654 1 and 641478162745 1, also known as 4750 & 4782 PA Route 309, Center Valley, PA 18034, are combined approximately .89 acres in size and are located in the Suburban Residential (R-2) Zone. The applicant is requesting extension of previous relief (establishment of a medical office use and associated dimensional relief) granted on November 3, 2015 in ZHB appeal 2014-09 as provided for in Section 803.N.2.a

PUBLIC NOTICE: Ordinance 67-SS
Notice is hereby provided that the Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors intends to consider passage of proposed Ordinance No. 67-SS at a public meeting to be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, February 8, at the Township Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA. Proposed Ordinance 67-SS would establish a 25 MPH speed limit on St. Joseph's Road.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Ordinance 104-A
Official Township Map Update

Notice is hereby provided that the Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors intends to consider passage of proposed Ordinance No. 104-A at a public meeting to be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, March 14, at the Township Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA. Proposed Ordinance 104-A would update the Official Township Map.

Upper Saucon Township is in the final stages of updating the Official Township Map, which was first adopted in January 2010. This map is used as a planning tool for land preservation, parks, trails, and other Township facilities (more background can be read here).  As required by the Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), there is a 45-day public review period of the Map before it can be approved by the Board of Supervisors. Excellence Award for Sewer System Operation
The Upper Saucon Township Municipal Authority was recently awarded the 2015 Excellence Award for Collection System Operation and Maintenance. This award - sponsored by Parson Environmental Products, Inc. - recognizes facilities for their outstanding maintenance and operation of wastewater collection systems. The Upper Saucon Township Sewer Department has been very proactive preventing inflow and infiltration (I&I) throughout the forty miles of sanitary pipe in the Township’s wastewater collection system. The department utilizes slip lining of old pipes, mortar and spray lining of manholes, and flow meters to prevent and detect I&I issues.

2016 Upper Saucon Township Budget
The Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors have made the budget documents for the 2016 calendar year available for public review (available here and in person at the Township Building). The Supervisors have adopted the 2016 Budget. You may review the following budget-related information:


Homeland Security Victim Notification Program
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has a program to ensure that the rights of victims are carefully observed. The Victim Notification Program allows eligible victims and witnesses to obtain reliable and timely information regarding a criminal alien's release from custody. In order to be notified, you must register at the following website:



Upper Saucon Township has been working with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to notify residents about the possibility of radon in area homes. The DEP has a number of publications for residents to refer to regarding this matter. They are available on the DEP's website, as well as in our front lobby. Additionally, more information can be obtained by calling 1-800-23-RADON.

Prescription BottlePrescription Drug Drop-Off Box
The Upper Saucon Township Police Department is proud to announce the installation of a permanent drop-off box for unused medications. The box is located in the lobby of the Police Dept., and is available for free, anonymous drop-offs Monday - Friday, from 8AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM.

Township residents can dispose of leaves and other yard waste at the Liberty Road Drop-off Center.  Click here to see when the Drop-off Center is open.
